STATEMENT PERSONAL FLORALS
To ensure grooms receive a standout floral moment akin to bridal bouquets, John, dressed in crisp white, was adorned with a vibrant flowered lapel, capturing attention with a show-stopping statement. Deremy, in sea glass, didn’t miss out on personalized accessories. Paying homage to Austin’s spirit, he sported a turquoise bolo tie, infusing a playful touch into his ensemble. The avant-garde boutonnière served as the final touch, adding an extra layer of uniqueness.
FLOWER-FORWARD MOMENTS AND EXPERIENCES
Getting started, the pre-ceremony photos embarked on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, cruising with Retro Boat Rental, and smoothly transitioned to The South Congress Hotel’s rooftop pool. To ensure a cohesive design and a consistent ambient experience, incorporating floral accents to special moments throughout the day is essential. Whether it’s ground arrangements poolside or a small pop of floral for the photo moment on the vintage boat, each touch adds a fancy and stylish element, contributing to the overall aesthetic of the celebration.
COCKTAIL HOUR – AUSTIN, TX
For cocktail hour, you’ll notice elements from the ceremony seamlessly integrated into the bar scene, including the distinctive custom pattern and teal backdrop. The design exudes cohesion, creating an atmosphere where every detail feels interconnected, particularly with the Wes Anderson architectural style evident in the recognizable arched backdrop.
The red velvet bar and elegant lamps, from Loot Rentals, pay homage to the concierge desk at the Grand Budapest Hotel, adding a touch of cinematic inspiration to the setting. For this moment of the celebration, cherries make their debut, evolving into an icon for the reception, adding a delightful and memorable element to the overall design.
WES ANDERSON FLORAL RECEPTION
Transitioning to the next of our favorite moments, guest tables incorporate an eclectic mix of odd shapes, bold colors, and varied textures. Moreover, we loved playing with color and shape for taper candles. This provides a unique way to explore hues not naturally found in floral elements or to deliver a striking color-blocking impact.
Table Manners contributes an excellent array of flatware, plateware, and glassware. Meanwhile, BBJ Tavola completes the ensemble with half-moon patterned linens and striking peacock green napkins, seamlessly tying together the eclectic and harmonious table setting.
Centering each table with a lush centerpiece, we brought warm-toned floral elements down the centerline of the long table. We incorporated modern flower frog dishes (commonly used in ikebana design). This allowed for the unique use of funky anthuriums, textural dahlias, zinnias, and bold-colored roses, contributing to the overall vibrant and distinctive aesthetic.
CEREMONY – Wes Anderson Austin Wedding Flowers
Lastly, a floral-lined aisle leading up to the ceremony creates a jaw-dropping pathway; here, the altar itself becomes a captivating haven wrapped in bold flowers.
Injecting pops of pink through the ceremony chairs and grand arch, Loot Rentals added a vibrant touch. Simultaneously, Scarlett Rose Collective brought the custom aisle pattern to life, harmonizing with a teal backdrop that gracefully met through a lush broken floral arch, bringing it all together.
The illusion arch flowers provide a memorable moment. Transitioning to the Wes Anderson-inspired Austin wedding flowers, we incorporated color blocking and monochromatic elements throughout the arch. Pulling inspiration from Wes A, we embraced his bold and quirky color stories, playing with warm tones of red, oranges, yellow, and pale pink, elegantly paired with cooler sea glass and teal hues.
